What is a Working Holiday Visa Australia?
To apply for a Second working holiday visa (Subclass 417), you must meet the following requirements.
- Nationality:
You must be the citizen of one of the countries such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, and some European countries.
- Visa:
You must currently hold or previously held a 417 visa
- Previous work:
You must have completed at least 3 months of working in an approved industries (for instance, tourism/hospitality, farming, mining, construction, cultivation…) in a regional area in Australia.
- Money:
You must demonstrate to have at least 5,000 plus the fare for leaving Australia after the visa expiry date.
What are the 2025 updates?
- If you are granted another visa, such as an eVisitor (subclass 651) or Transit (subclass 771), while holding a Working Holiday Maker (WHM) visa (subclass 417 or subclass 462), your WHM visa will cease on the date the new visa is granted. This may impact your ability to work in Australia and apply for another WHM visa.
- Additionally, you must accurately declare your current location on your visa application form. Providing incorrect location information may affect the processing and approval of your visa.
