Migration Update : 05 August 2022
1. Migration QLD provides some info about new nomination requirements for 2022-2023 program.
The Migration Queensland released new nomination requirements for 2022-2023 program years which include information about the visa below:
190 Skilled Nominated visa is a permanent state nominated visa
- QLD Skilled Worker
- QLD Graduates (Master in STEM Field/PhD)
- Offshore Skilled Worker (102 Occupations)
491 Visa Options is a 5-year provisional state nominated visa with a pathway to permanent residency.
- QLD Skilled Worker
- QLD Graduates (Bachelor with GPA 5.5/Master/PhD)
- Small Business Owners pathway or Start Up
- Offshore Skilled Worker (114 Occupations)
However, the Migration Queensland program is currently closed. Keep an eyes on SOL Migration website or social media for the news update.
2. Migration Tasmania has released further information about its new Skilled Migration requirements
Tasmania’s skilled migration program include subclass 190 – Skilled Nominated and Subclass 491 – Skilled Work Regional (Provisional). The new requirement will come into effect once Migration TAS receive confirmation from the Australia Government
3. Online lodgement options for BVA, BVB or BVC will be available on immi account. No more in-person and paper application will be accepted.
From 1 August 2022, the option to apply for a Bridging visa A (BVA), B (BVB) and C (BVC) in-person or via a paper form will no longer be available. Applications for a Bridging visa A, B or C must be made online via ImmiAccount or the online webform.
Bridging visa B (BVB) is a visa that allowed you to leave and return to Australia during a specified travel period while your application for a substantive visa is being processed.
4. DHA will speed up pending visa applications by allocating more staff into visa assessment roles.
The Australian Government has devote more 140 new department staff to clear a lot of visa applications which have been blog for long time.
